Franco Italian Bistro

not everything we had expected. always very good in past, but first visit in several years and less than impressed. had an early reservation for a bigger party; was called earlier the day to confirm, but when we dived a few minutes early, they had to scramble to put the table. table with fabric set to reverse, a small error and very futile. a fine restaurant should be more attentive to the details. as with most places post covid were the prices higher, but I would expect the same portion size and quality, but it was not there. no brot basket, a bruschetta plate that was muddy and lacked in taste, grinding times are all ala were basket, no salate and sizes very small (example auberginen parm was 3 small pieces with a very small side of pasta. a chicken dish seemed to have a boiled romaine salat side. not in any case tasty or appetizing, simply tasted like blasphemy salate. huh was tender and good and roasted kartoffel ok, but that was it. notation added to menu for parties of 8 gratity; if waiter returned with credit card receipts, the detailed entry was missing. had to wait to ensure the reception from the server correctly that a fairer tipp was added. my debt would have had to have looked more carefully at the first proposal, but it should not be called back; that is given in every restaurant. very disappointed; will continue and look for a better Italian restaurant option to entertain friends and family.

The waiter was friendly and helpful, we were seated immediately and asked for our drink order The five of us ordered different dishes, with 2 people ordering a pasta dish shrimp fra Diablo, and spaghetti with clams), one ordered a veal dish, and 2 ordered the salmon. We also shared salads. My husband and I enjoyed the avocado salad and the other couple had a Cesar salad. Both were excellent One couple was celebrating their anniversary and so the waiter brought out a nice size serving of tiramisu for us to share Francos has become one of our favorite restaurants

Love this place. Staff are great. The only real problem is that the food is very bland. We go for the experience, not the food.

we were often with francos. it never leaves to satisfy. always delicious, fresh. our server paola was beautiful.

Good food, good service, very noisy. The noise level detracts from a wonderful place.
