My wife and I stayed at Les Voyageurs on a Sunday evening. We had a couple of beers at a charming cafe in the square across the road and noticed there was activity in the restaurant, so I went over. It was ‘madame’, setting up...the tables with flowers. I went in, booked a table and returned to have another beer. We went over and occupied our table and were presented with menus and one choice caught our eye “choice of the chef”, all dishes chosen by the chef and different wines throughout the meal. I chose that and my wife chose a less flamboyant option. She was very happy with what she had and I thoroughly enjoyed mine. When all the crockery had been cleared and coffee served, chef sent through the wine that was left. I had a glass and asked he and Madame to join me which they did. Lovely place, outstanding food.
I never write something awful about places where I go, usually I just don’t go there anymore. But this place is a sad reality. I don’t know what’s going on here and on official web site, but photos and beautiful names on menu have NOTHING...IN COMMON with everything that you’ll see on your plate then. I’m sorry but, vegetable cooked “en moment” look like they were already eaten before. Several times. All dishes were like this. It’s a shame, indeed. Interior design of carpet, strong smell of food... If you have some problems in your kitchen, it’s better to change something or close this place. Thanks for attention.
If you are looking for traditional French cuisine you will find it hear. We chose the price fix menu and were so impressed with it all. This was nearly a hour meal. When the cheese cart came by at the end of the meal...wow...we...barely could fit it all in. And the cheeses were excellent. You can't go wrong here. Staff was very friendly and explained the menu items.
The food is traditional French and pretty good, although my wife found it a bit heavy. Service was friendly. Wine was good. The restaurant definitely hired a good photographer to make everything look a bit more up to date, but the place feels a bit...outdated. Like it was hip years ago. Could do with some revamping.
