We stayed here for a 1 night short break. We had been advised to ask for a quiet room. We had room 331 which looked out onto a courtyard. We were glad it was an inside room, as the hotel is on a busy main road.The room was very small, with 2 single beds, a tiny desk, 2 chairs and a small wardrobe. There was very little room to store things, but it was fine for one night. The bathroom was quite large. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable.The wifi signal was very weak. The breakfast buffet was excellent - cereal, juice, toast, rolls, cold meats, preserves, fruit, eggs - everything you could want. It was included in our room rate, which came as a nice surprise. It's ideally located - a few yards from the pedestrian zone, just on the other side of the river from the main Old Town. It's about 15 mins walk from the railway station. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We paid E85 for the room - excellent value.
Enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Very good location; at the corner of the pedestrian zone and only 5 minutes away to the river and main attractions. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. The bed was a bit too soft for my liking. However, overall a very good stay. Has car park at the rear. 12 euros per night though.
We liked this hotel a lot. It was clean, basic, relatively cheap and had a great breakfast for the start of our adventurous days! Its close to the main attractions, staff is friendly. Just perfect for a winter break! Mind you there is no kettle for tea in your room but they offer tea or coffee downstairs. :)
Right at the beginning of the Linzer Gasse this hotel is in easy walking distance to Linzer Gasse itself as well as the old town. The Kapuzinerberg is also very close. In combination with the decent price I can only highly recommend this place. Will definitely stay here for the next Salzburg visit.
