Hotel-Marienhof

This establishments entry in Tripadvisor should be changed, it is not just a restaurant.We stayed as part of a tour group. Our coach took us into Vienna each day. The Marienhof was in delightful counterpoint to the busy city.Commuting through the Vienna Woods each day was truly inspirational.The staff without exception were helpful and friendly we were greeted with a warm welcome and that attitude was present for the whole week.Our room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The view from the balcony was perfect. The public rooms were quaint and could be thought of as 'old fashioned' but were all the better for that.Our meals were great, even fried eggs and bacon for breakfast (in addition to the usual cold cuts buffet). Dinner was served smoothly and was very tasty, not high cuisine but most enjoyable. My wife was serve vegetarian dishes exactly to her liking.In summary this hotel is to be recommended as a tranquil haven for a relaxing holiday.

Der Marienhof war früher ein Geheimtipp vor den Toren Wiens. Leider wurde in den letzten Jahren der Quantität mehr Aufmerksamkeit als der Qualität geschenkt. Die Speisen sind OK, aber leider nicht mehr Überdurchschnittlich, oft werden auch Fertigprodukte verwendet. Für ein Essen extra zum Marienhof zu fahren, zahlt sich leider nicht mehr aus. Wer ein Lokal nach einer Wienerwald Wanderung sucht, ist gut bedient, wenn auch das Preisniveau dafür etwas zu hoch ist.

Ristorante situato all'interno dell'omonimo hotel, ideale per viaggi di lavoro.Menù tipicamente transalpino e birra ottima e prezzi buoni.Il personale di sala è sorridente e cordiale (tutti parlano italiano e inglese perfettamente).Lo consiglio e sicuramente ci tornerò il prossimo viaggio di lavoro!Auf wiedersehen!

Family hotel, clean tidy and with personality. Stayed 3 nights as part of 3 cities tour . Away from main part of Vienna and a little out of the way. Lady owner lovely . Too many distractions for her brother from female with him so a few Fawlty towers moments. Food ok but not brilliant

Abbiamo visitato Vienna con la nostra cagnetta Lilla !!! Si è trovata molto bene anche lei. Il posto non è magnifico ma l'accoglienza è ottima. Si puó visitare Vienna con i mezzi pubblici ed al rientro si è immersi nella pace e tranquillità !!!
