Hotel Restaurant Brienzerburli und Löwen

We already came twice to this restaurant in the past few years. Both times we had the typical Swiss dish called "Rösti". We had the one called "Oberländer Rösti" made of potatoes, bacon, ham, Swiss cheese and an egg on top. Both times it was really good and worth to try. We also had a mixed salad with housemade Italian dressing, which was also good. We paid 68.50 Swiss Francs for two "Rösti" one mixed salad, one small beer ad one large beer. The interior of the restaurant is the typical style of houses in the Swiss alps, all made of wood which is very cosy. They shouldn't put artificial flowers on the tables though....

We loved staying at this charming hotel in beautiful Brienz. The rooms are comfortable and nice, the location is great, along the shore of the Brienzersee. The restaurant is exactly what a rustic Swiss restaurant should be. It's cozy and warm with excellent service and wonderful food. We were there with a group, and the chef got a standing ovation one night for his specialty, a whole ham baked in bread. The meal was delicious, and the presentation beautiful.

We are so glad we chose to eat here, I was tempeted to leave the hotel and find something different and I am so glad we did not. It was a chilly, rainy evening and our family sat around an oval table for hours enjoying good food and good service. There was a great variety to choose from.

I frequent here often. It's a local for me and all I have is good experiences there. Awesome people, nice and friendly and then there is the food... Is you was would like to experience a real traditional meal then Brienzerbürli is for you!

We stayed at the hotel and had dinner here at every night. Food is good quality, very tasty and lots of it, we rarely had room for pudding!
