Our cousins who live in Bonn took us here. The food was fantastic and we eat a lot in all kinds of restaurants and we can be critical so take our word for it. It's not cheap, but the wine list is excellent and the cook knows what he does. When my vegetarian daughter couldn't find anything she wants on the menu, the cook came with a pasta dish and a kind of pesto sauce that was amazing. My wife had beef and I had fish and both were perfectly cooked. This is more a special occasion, but I would be interested to stay in any place at the hotel. Very recommended.
Had the set lunch here at 35 euro which included amuse bouche, a choice of three starters, mains and puddings, and 20cl of good house wine. It was of the quality I have had in restaurants with Michelin rosettes perfectly executed, with the...best of ingredients. Waiters were charming and helpful, even with our poor German skills. Fantastic views over the Ahr Valley. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Went to Idille a few days later and paid twice as much for a very ordinary lunch with a bottle of wine.
Fantastic hotel, beautifully opposed to a mountain hero between the wines with a great view of the town that's been lowered in the valley. Hotel is fancy with a very good restaurant and proper service. Two person's room with a view of the valley costs $148. breakfast. Nice room with a (te) little bathroom.
There are parking spaces on the mountain and then you can take a nice walk down to this hotel restaurant to have a drink, or eat / sleep here. We had a glass of wine op the terrace with a breathtaking view of the valley.
