Hotel Restaurant le Central

My opinion is only about the hotel, the catering service not working on Friday night. It is not an impersonal hotel on the outskirts of the big cities, but with the counterpart that it still looks like the good old hotels of the past with the café of the village on the ground floor (where the little dezj takes place) it is likely that I will return there.The more:Hotel near the roanne with magnificent view of the nearby mountains; it gives on a large square where it is very easy to park his car. Friendly and helpful welcome; Very clean and cheerful room.Petit lunch à l'ancien (no buffet) but rather comfortable.Correct rates although you can find roanne (especially the we) hotels also even more comfortable for less expensive.Two less-: a shower a little riquiquiquiquiqui with a tapter old and little pressure.- for the simplest rooms: 2nd floor without elevator. Suggestion: when the hotel is not full, as it seemed to be, why not rent first floor rooms? This should not present an additional cost to the hotelier.PS: ask, if possible, a room overlooking the square.

After finding with great difficulties a restaurant open on a Wednesday noon in the Roannais, the restaurant "jacques coeur" we kindly redirected to it.Home and service suitable.Menus and map with choice but very little original (frites, pasta and fried pasta with omelettes, 1 false net,...)We asked what was the menu of the day to 13,50 euros : coquills and s duck magret with fries or salad; cheeses and dessert houses.Bémols : - surprised to have only fries or pasta with duck magret (no steamed potatoes or potatoes to sarladaises for example ?)- magret drowned in the sweet sour sauce that does not get married with fries cooked in a practical 24-euro room !

On a Sunday noon we arrive very late (not far from 2:00 pm)The boss kindly welcomed us and we ate it well. For my part, a plate of gargantuesque frog thighs...A well-kept house to remember for a future halt.

I always dive here when in roanne. eating and service is over excellent. les cuisses de grenouille are a must and be sure to save some space for dessert.
