First time; bad experience. My husband and I came here and thought we'd find Clemenza's restaurant. When we noticed the change, we gave it a try. We ordered 2 iced teas, a chicken parm sandwich and a meat lasagna. We waited for food about 45 minutes when it arrived, we had to go. The lasagna was all burned, the whole thing tasted like burned and the parm of my husband had absolutely no taste. We were hungry and before we wait longer, a nice lady came by, apologized and offered to reduce the bill to half. Although such things can happen, this was perhaps not the best way to deal with the issue. My husband and I drove 30 minutes, waited 45 minutes and were changed by $22 for 2 iced tea. Please take this as constructive criticism: in front of the house and behind the house make a restaurant either good in service or good in the kitchen. You have a nice place in a beautiful area. If you just opened the place, take some time to train your kitchen staff to make an effort in cooking and produce high-quality food, that would bring people back even if they wait a long time until the food comes to the table. Food is okay, service not so much. They forgot my salad, the dishes came out at different times, they got the dessert order wrong. Make sure you ask the for the prices of the specials before ordering one. We were surprised to get hit with a $34 charge for a stuffed filet of sole (not a particularly expensive fish). The $28 salmon was okay but tiny leaving me hungry. The owners seem like very nice people so I feel a little uneasy about leaving this midling review. Perhaps we just got the wrong dishes.
Had a delicious meal tonight. Ends here inadvertently, as our expected goal was unexpectedly closed. Owner/ hostess was very pleasant and accommodating for our group who came from the state. The rice balls, chicken, salmon and Sunday dinner are all recommended
