Jucker Farm - Tisch reservieren

I always make it a point every fall to view the Juckerhof pumpkin exhibit, but this year made it a point to also see their exhibit at Bachlihof. The Bachlihof farm is located near Rapperswil/Jona and next to the lake. There are buses running from both the Rapperswil and Jona train stations that will get you to Bachlihof with less than a ten minute walk. The Bachlihof pumpkin exhibit is in a bit more compact area compared to the Juckerhof exhibit, but Bachlihof offers just as an impressive exhibit. There were gladiators, defensive fighting techniques, an aqueduct, a wolf, and a wide assortment of pumpkins on sale.There is the main store that sells all of their products grown on-site, a pizza store, restaurant, and selected items from the food and dessert spread. Across from the entrance is a massive dining hall with seating and a fireplace. During the warmer months there is outdoor seating and you can cook your own sausages over the pit. There is the large nursery of fruit and vegetable fields surrounding the public areas. It was a busy combined trip taking in both the Juckerhof and Bachlihof pumpkin display on the same day, but certainly an enjoyable and fun time. So next year, make it a point to see one or both of these exhibits. Thanks to the Jucker Family for once again offering fun entertainment for the entire family. Highly recommended!

We came here for lunch with a group. I liked it. While people bought some sausage there to grill it by themselves outside some others decided to go with the buffet. You can either pay an all you can eat fee (beverages and coffee excl.) or pay per plate (price depends on weight). The place itself is nicely made and looks very modern. You can go shopping at the farm shop there too. The view from the outside is beautiful and it's very peaceful. You can go on a nice walk by the lake after lunch. There is a camping site near by.

The Bächlihof is a commercial farm with a restaurant and gift shop. For an affordable price, you can either have an 'all you can eat' for CHF 38 per person, or pay by weight of your selections. A good variety of hot and cold dishes, with teh added benefit that the eggs and meat are from the local farm. Don't forget to fill up at the gift shop. After a nice meal, I highly recommend going for a stroll in nearby Rapperswil.

We were in Zurich and went to Bachlihof for a nice, cool lunch. Very lovely, indeed. Found the restaurant and giftshop with lots of interesting products. All of us enjoy salads, apple juice and icecream. If you visit Zurich, don't miss it!

Bächlihof is a good place to stay for a while with small kids. Lots of space for them to play and run around. Goats (you can go in to touch), rabbits and guinea-pigs. A speciality there is that they create art made out of pumpkins.
