Kaskagorri - Tisch reservieren

Restaurant Kaskagorri has a perfect location, near to the main square and surrounded by beautiful streets and squares. The building is in concordance with the old architecture of Vitoria. The restaurant is spacious, elegant and quiet, perfect for special meetings. If we had to talk about the food, from my point of view, it could have been better. The best were the starters. Pig´s trotters with mushrooms and foie were incredible tasty. The other starter, beef carpaccio was good as well. But, when we talk about the main dishes, I have to admit I expected more what I had. The monkfish with pork belly and sauce was a bit plain, the same happened to the grilled sea bass with squid in its ink. Both dishes were good, but not remarkable. Finally, the desserts were also good, at the same level than the starters. In general, good food and quantity right. On the other hand, the price of the food is a bit expensive, we paid 93€ for two starters, two main courses, two desserts and three beers, I do not want to imagine the bill If we had ordered wine.

Having found very few restaurants on our Spanish trip which were above the usual tourist offering, we were delighted with every aspect of this establishment in the old city of Vitoria. We were the first diners to arrive at around 9 p.m. but other tables soon filled. The very charming young woman proprietress took great trouble to explain the menu to us before taking our order. Delicious bread and oil accompanied our aperitif. An excellent risotto for one of us and a generous plate of Iberico ham for the other were the first course. The main course and locally sourced wine were equally good. The bill was surprisingly reasonable. All in all a very pleasant and relaxed evening. This young couple's enterprise deserves to do well.

Only had a couple of tapas and a drink, but they were excellent in a lovely location in Vitoria-gasteiz which was an extraordinarily pleasant city even in freezing March. Very professional barman, modern bar and looking at the other reviews perhaps we should have eaten more, but we were just passing through. Would like to come to V-G again and would eat here properly then!

Visited by chance and had an excellent meal in a very smart restaurant. The food was delightful and the service could not have been better. It seems that most of their business is from locals and visitors should take note. In our experience the young couple owning and running the business deserve to do well.

Nice, clean and modern place- great meat! Friendly staff! We shared some starters in the middle and they were all fabulous!
