La Mariniere - Tisch reservieren

We visited in a family group. The mains we had, including scallops, cheese burger and steak, were lovely. The value for money seemed to depend on the dish mainly good but the scallops were expensive (26.90 euros . The desserts were really good a nice souffle (approx 9.60 euros and a really good chocolat molleux (but we 've definitely had a better lemon meringue . We had a young waiter who forgot one of our drinks twice and didn 't seem overly apologetic and in fact then disappeared mid taking our order for mains and didn 't come back for about 10+ minutes. When he took our mains order he didn 't read it back to us, which given the language barrier (sadly we can only speak poor French would have been sensible but luckily he didn 't forget one of those. For me it was a lovely restaurant, staff seemed friendly enough, good really good especially the mains, but we were unfortunately sat next to the only toilet the restaurant has which did smell a bit and we were near the door to the kitchen which everyone time someone went through, which unsurprisingly they did very regularly, they shouted something (sounded like show clearly to make sure they didn 't hit anyone the other side. Sadly the odour from the toilet (not strong but still not nice when eating plus the noise of the entrance to the kitchen meant I wouldn 't rush back. Almost all other tables were better positioned and most had a beautiful view over the port so I 'd recommend going and strongly recommend making sure you 're not sat next to the toilet.

My husband and I travel frequently to St Cast during the summer season. This year the weather has allowed visits starting as early as Easter. We visited the restaurant last weekend and were impressed by the warm welcome given to us as returning seasonal guests (2nd visit in 2019) by the owner and his core team. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced. The food is freshly prepared, good quality and beautifully presented. On this occasion we were dining with friends and the majority of the table opted for red wine. I prefer a rose wine and opted to go with rose by the glass. The owner remembered that I liked a particular Côtes de Provence and happily served me this by the glass without being asked. How impressive is this for him to remember my choice of wine and secondly to be prepared to serve this by the glass. If you like desserts I can thoroughly recommend the raspberry soufflé see photo. I have this as often as it is on the specials menu and the quality and execution is always consistent. After dinner you are served a complimentary house liquor. What more can I say, we will be returning.

Our feelings were very mixed after our visit to La Mariniere. On the one hand, we had one of the best seafood meals ever oysters were fresh, the main with scallops was incredible and the desserts were bang on as well. On the other hand, we had some of the worst service we've experienced. The staff managed to forget our water, wine and coffee at 3 different intervals. I hope we were just very unlucky to have this happen 3 times, a very frustrating experience. The staff were also quite unapologetic when we had to remind them hopefully just a culture thing. Also, the food came out incredibly fast, almost as if they were trying to get us out as soon as possible, not really our cup of tea. All in all, although we had a great meal we felt a bit frustrated after the visit. Probably won't visit again. Compliments to the chef however!

Went there twice during our short stay in Saint Cast. Really friendly staff, dog friendly, on an excellent spot overlooking the main beach (away from the more tourist square). The mains (we had beef and duck, switched each night) were both excellent, perfectly cooked with beautiful sauce and vegetables. Reasonable value, but great relaxing meal. Definitely recommend!

Service and atmosphere were absolutely incredible, food was beautiful and staff were fabulous. An all round superb dining experience.
