Exquisite cuisine, every dish was beyond expectations, and very acceptable prices: sardines in the pan (11€ , entrecôte « à point » very delicious (21€ , grilled Dorade super tasty (15€ , crepe aux chocolate with vanilla ice cream, or xuixo were amazing, bio Rosé (21€ a bottle very pleasant The location is lovely, with sea view, the table in the street with a pleasant breeze in the shadow of the stone walls, and the staff was friendly and smiling, despite many customers. The owner, from New Zealand, deserves all respect for his exquisite menu, honesty and hospitality. Chapeau !

Thank you very much for an amazing atmosphere and service. Very beautiful, lovely place with a such warm welcome. Moreover, the quality and the taste of rhe food is on the highest level(can feel the professional approach). Surely, this is the best restaurant in L'Escala. I really recommend everybody to visit this place, you won't regret. One more time, thank you!

Lovely situation close to the beach on the old town. Delightful service. Delicious food. We ate some tapas (grilled vegetables and flaming chorizo particularly good). I had the grilled sea bream which was excellent whilst my son proclaimed the ribs best ever. Delightful experience. Thank you.

Excellent service as always from Matt and the team when dining at la taverna. The menu has had a refresh and new meat supplier. Our entrecots were really great. Thick and cooked to perfection. We always make a point of eating here at least once every trip, can't wait to return

Nice place close to a square facing the sea, in the small street of the old town. Food is very good and prices are mid low. Staff are very welcoming and friendly.
