L'Arrosoir - Tisch reservieren

We recently visited this restaurant with our three young children, sitting outside on the pleasant terrace with a nice view.As we approached the restaurant we were immediately informed that they do not have a children's menu (and really we should have taken the hint and gone elsewhere then!) However, we decided it wouldn't be a problem and ordered two adult meals to share between the children.The food was ok - nothing spectacular.Towards the end of our lunch, while waiting for the bill, the restaurant was completely empty at this point, so we thought it would be ok to allow our 21 month old daughter to have a little walk around. She tripped and banged her head badly - was bleeding a little from her forehead and she started to cry. As my husband picked her up to comfort her, a grumpy man (presumably the owner) immediately came over and told her to be quiet as people in the hotel would be sleeping (at 2.30pm?!) with absolutely no concern at all for our child. We were left completely speechless and felt utterly unwelcome and wish we had taken our €140 lunch custom elsewhere.

Such a delishious meal here, great view and excellent service. I had a Sole Meunière that was exceptional. I really wanted to tip the waitress, she had gone beyond the bounds of service, translating into English, constant replenishment of drinks etc. But the French 'service compris' is SO confusing! I can see the others I was with did not want to pay twice, so to speak, but to leave nothing? I would be interested to know how it works and if the servers get any of the service compris.

We found this restaurant after the disappointment with the lack of any quality restaurants in Carnac. Being July we sat outside overlooking the beautiful river harbour and the hundreds of boats. The welcome was very friendly and the choice of menu was predominantly fish. We both had a cold prawn and shrimp dish for starter, hard work peeling all the shrimps but very enjoyable. Mains were fish both of which were well cooked. A great choice for a summer evening meal sitting outside.

An excellent menu which although limited offered the freshest of fish and seafood with a twist. The carpaccio of scallops as an entree were in an interesting ginger and lemongrass dressing. The squid with tagliatelli was also beautifully presented and in a delicious sauce. Service was unobtrusive but professional and the restaurant had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Nice place with a view on the bay outside of the most frequented touristy eateries. Reservation recommended. Excellent seafood, reasonably quick service.
