I asked for a ham sandwich and made sure there was no addition to it, before ordering it. When it arrived, I noticed they put gherkins and vinegar too, which I do not eat. I took a bite to see if I could eat it...anyway, but it was too strong. When I pointed it out, I was told by the couple running the place that they could not sell the sandwich anymore, as I had taken a bite. They refused to make me another one. The place itself is very nice, at the beginning of the town, with outside seating. But if their customer service is so bad that it stops them from making another ham sandwich.. I would not recommend it to anybody else.
This little spot, situated a bit away from the main part of the village, is pleasant for an afternoon coffee. A group of six of us shared two servings of the meringues with double cream, which was more than enough since we had already had...lunch. The dish was very filling and rich, topped with chocolate shavings and berries. The coffee was OK. There is a little art gallery in the back of the restaurant and the interiors are kind of funky, so it could be fun to take a look around the premises.
STAY AWAY !!! I see the good reviews and I’m very surprised. The creme wasn’t bad but the welcoming was horrible: not a “hallo”, asked why would we want to sit, asked to move table onto a smaller one when the whole terrace kept empty. We then were requested to put away our water bottle because this is a no pic-nic (after we had ordered 40CHF of food and drinks) and last of course no credit card accepted! Seriously we’re in 2023!! Not good enough for one of the top attractions in the canton!
This place is at the beginning of the village; as you go up from the parking lot on the left side. Doesn't look like a lot, but not being deceived. Especially if they have all fondues. This place is great for... a coffee together with Meringue, double cream and fruit. Pampered like hell, but worth any calories. Service was also pretty good. Sit out if you can.
