The food is always good at wagamamas, and offers something different to the Staines food court but is slightly less authentic. It is always busy in here but is often frequented by a slightly younger demographic than myself and my wife, nothing like coming here on a Friday night to feel old. The service was okay they were busy but had adequate waiting staff, the only issue is they were obviously getting a lot of take out orders through various apps so did mean the wait for food was longer than it used to be. Also their prep station for the takeouts is right at the back of the restaurant, so there are constantly waiting staff going from the kitchen at the front, to the back to packing station, then packing then back past you to give it to the driver. From an operational point of view there are efficiencies which can be made here. From a customer point of view it is quite annoying to having someone constantly coming past you, and leaning into your table whilst trying to make it around other waiting staff.
Everything was perfect except for the fact that food is being served in a weird order. Me and my man have ordered starters and mains. My man received his main dish and I received nothing, and his food was getting cold while he was waiting for me to get anything. Then he received his starter (while he didn't even touch the main yet), and I still had nothing. And when I finally received my starter, it was cold, which means it's been ready for a long time. We're very easy going and we rarely complain about anything, but this system is just weird.
Me and my family visited in September 2023 and all had food poisoning next day. Called the restaurant requested a refund and till date someone was supposed to call back and apologies and refund the £88 food bill. Made 10 phone calls till date and every time the response was ‘someone will call you back’ hence I have to write this review very shameful of Wagamama to avoid us Service: Dine in
