Gasthaus Paradies

lovely location on River Rhine, good food. Varied kids menu. Average price. Service good. I didnt like the floor of outdoor restaurant which was medium size rough stones, I wondered how they would clear up spilt food/drinks which attract pests! So being paranoid I was constantly looking down to make sure no ants were crawling over my shoes! Friendly English speaking staff, very efficient, kind to our little boy. Plenty of parking.

My husband's grew up in Shaffhausen and we enjoy a meal at the Gasthaus Paradies whenever we visit his family. The salads are fresh and beautifully prepared. I have always enjoyed the Egli-Knusperli (freshwater fish) and my husband generally has the Wurst-Käsesalat for lunch or Rehpfeffer if it's in season. The patio is also a fine place to relax over a glass of wine or beer and watch the boats go by.

Great location at the Rhein. Had a wonderful spargel salad with cottage cheese. Great cocktail. Fresh strawberry with cream as closure for a nice and relaxing lunch. The personnel is very nice and friendly.

We had a business dinner with good food and nice environment upstairs in one of the separate rooms. The quality of the food was good and service was convincing as well

You can have a table just above the crystal clear Rhein and watch the trout. Service prompt and attentive. Food tasty unique view
