Petanque et Poulet Bicyclette

Visited here with family. The situation is amazing, you arrive after driving along country lanes, initially you think you're heading in the wrong direction, but on arrival the location & scenery are breath taking.Sitting outside with views of the lake with its fish & the stunning countryside is the perfect setting, if you want a waters edge seat etc, booking is advisable as this is a popular restaurant. The food is rustic, cooked to perfection & delicious. We all chose different meals & none of us were disappointed, it was simply delicious. The portions were ample, I struggled to finish my main, as did my daughter, she wanted to take the remainder home, they were happy to provide packaging & parcel it up for her, she had enough meat for her dinner the next day!We would all throughly recommend this restaurant as a must, if you are in the area. First class food & service, in outstanding scenery. We're now eagerly awaiting our next visit.

We went on here on recommendation from friends, and had we not been told about it we would never have known it was there! You definitely need a car that is good on rocky steep tracks - luckily we went in my 4x4... my friend would have not have liked to have taken his BMW there - in fact, he wouldn't! It was very busy, and we were glad that we had booked. The food was delicious, I had the poulet-bicyclette (as I thought I couldn't go there and not eat the restaurant's name-sake dish!) and my friends had the souris of lamb (not mouse of lamb, but a lamb shank!! haha), and a caramelised pork dish - all of which were lovely I'm told. The scenery is good - restaurant lit by fairy lights, overlooking the pond, with a mini waterfall, and beautiful lavender growing at the edge. Very picturesque, and well worth a visit.

We were so surprised to find this nice place in the middle of the countryside. We have formule de jour which was a salad, a tuna steak, and nougat ice cream. Salad had a bit too much dressing, but all the rest was perfect. Service was very friendly and fast and the setup was a total surprise with a fishpond in the middle of the woods. I fully recommend to try.

The location is a bit of a challenge, but it is worth the journey. Went to a wedding rehearsal dinner there. The local wine flowed and the food was great! The place is unlike any restaurant you'll ever go. Drink, eat and be merry! You won't be disappointed!

Very freindly people and a very happy place! Food is very good and well priced, venue is quirky and at the top of a hill reached by a dirt track, but worth the hike! Would highly recommend .
