Tacky 90's decor. We tried to book before 8pm and we were told they were booked out. We go there right on 8 & there were three, maybe four tables with diners. Our table was at the back - as far away as possible from the water view. The service was nothing short of hideous. They took forever to bring wine and food menus, and with next to no diners, took a further amount of forever to bring the drinks. The waitress asked us how we like our salmon cooked? Seriously - its not a steak! This is some crazy stuff. We asked about gluten free options from our waitress. She was not 'allowed' to answer this as it had to be escalated to the manager. WHAT? So the food itself was actually quite nice, nothing amazing, but not horrible either. I just can't get past the hideous decor, tacky feel and the horrible service. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back. For the price you pay (it isn't cheap) there are so many better options in Hobart.
I loved my dining experience at The Point. Could fault nothing! The service, the food, the service, the view, the service, the experience, oh and did I mention the service. Worth every cent!! I had an overnight stay in hospital a couple of weeks prior to my dining experience at The Point, and I can assure you, the comparison in the service I received for these two experiences could not be more opposite!! Especially for the money!!!!
Wir waren ein Tisch von 3 und es gab nur 2 weitere Tische in dieser Nacht - aber es war eine Mitte der Woche. Hatte das blaue Eye Trevalla, das der Fisch des Tages war, mit einem Krabbensalon und es war lecker. Der Fisch war wunderschön mit einer knusprigen Haut gekocht und der Krabbensalat war sehr frisch. Kellnerin (Bernstein) war reizvoll und aufmerksam. Wir alle haben es genossen. Besucht 29/6/16.
Freundliche Front des Hauspersonals mit sofortiger Service. Der Whisky Crème Brûlée war erstaunlich, wunderschöne Geschmackskombinationen von Süß mit einem leichten Tang aus dem orangefarbenen Marmeladensorbet (erfrischender Gaumenreiniger) zwischen dem gooey-Schokoladen-Gleis-Zimt-Donut. Definitiv empfehlen. Schönes Dessert zu teilen.
