Restaurant Chez l'Eclusier

This has long been a favourite restaurant for an easy going lunch overlooking the marina but we felt that perhaps they were becoming a little complacent recently. Don't get me wrong - the service was as usual excellent, attentive and friendly and the food as always delicious. The menu changes constantly to reflect what is available in the market. But where was the amuse bouche? Perhaps they were just busy, though they always are, but these little things do make a difference. I still recommend this place as a great midday meal at a most reasonable price, but it has made me start to explere other eateries.

This restaurant enjoys a great location in a marina just off the main canal. Good place to moor for water, electricity etc. right outside the restaurant. Mooring on the main canal is fine too although the railway runs close-by and can be a little noisy early morning ! After an evening at this excellent restaurant, however, you may not notice. Fantastic food and drink, well recommended.

After 10 days in various parts of France including Loire Valley and Perigord it was refreshing to find a restaurant which did NOT have burgers and pizza on the menu. Our lunch of Goat cheese tart and an interesting gazpacho was excellent both for quality and presentation. Great location on Canal du Midi.

We stumbled across this restaurant when exploring the Canal du Midi. Situated in the small port, outside tables are at the water's edge. The delicous lunch was also carefully presented and good value for money.

Stopped for lunch . Excellent fish and beef menu. Gourmet presentation. Dockside wonderful ambience w excellent service.
