This is simply the best place in Schaffhausen because it doesn't matter which plan you have (family, friends, romantic) I always live this place with a smile on y face. So, if you want to have a delicious dinner, ambiance and a great view of the Rhein and the Munot, then this is the place to go. Chef Riedener delivers excellent quality food, fresh and seasonal products are brought to your table by his very friendly staff. I bring friends that come from abroad to visit me and every single time we have excellent food, friendly service and a great time. Its worth mentioning prices are very reasonable for Switzerland.I also go for lunch with my son who loves to seat in summer at the terrace and enjoy the view.
We went to the Munotblick for a pre-Christmas dinner and what a pleasant surprise it was! We of course knew the host and chef from their previous restaurant in Schaffhausen and had an idea of what to expect. We selected the Fillet Surf and Turf with Goose liver and I must say it was excellent. Not overly huge portions, but quite sufficient. Beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The service was very friendly and the restaurant, although quite simple, nicely decorated. This is certainly a very good option for fine dining in Schaffhausen.
Just had my birthday lunch there the other week and again, I can't find anything negative to say. The service was perfect, all our menus were flawless and more than delicious, nicely presented. A special mention owns the menu salad, which was covered in a super tasty dressing. And I mean not just a slimy so called Balsamico that was carelessly spread over the leaves - no the salad was mixed beforehand with this super yummy dressing! Thank you, it was great!
Certainly one of the best places to dine and wine. We're going for a few years on holiday to Schaffhausen, last year we find out this place, right now it's one of us first place to go. We recommend the Lamsreck from grill! Regards, Carlo
