Wir hatten uns auf ein gemütliches Abendessen mit Seeblick gefreut und bekamen Kantinenfeeling. Das Personal ist sehr jung und freundlich, wenn auch etwas unkoordiniert. Die Gartenterasse ist sehr eng bestuhlt und es hat sogar lange Tische wo man ( trotz Vorreservation) einfach zwischen anderen Gästen platziert wird. Da die Tische sehr breit sind, ist eine normale Konversation fast unmöglich. Zudem passiert es, dass man selber noch am Essen ist und die Tischnachbarn links und rechts einen zuqualmen. Preis-Leistung stimmt auch für Zürich nicht. Auf kleine Wünsche wird nicht eingegangen... Schade!
I went there to have capuchino and some dessert. The service is extremely slow and took more than 30 min just to be served and as well took incredily long once i asked the check. The quality of food is extrmely below average. I had om another time some salad and pizza but the pizza semt like the frozen one from a supermarket. It looks more like a fast food.I would suggest more for a coffee and enjoy the nice lake view they have or for an ice cream take away if you are in thr beach closeby. There are by far better place to eat in thalwil
This place is very pretty, you'll find it at the lake close to the ship station and the view is great. We could see the sunset too and it was amazing. It seems to be that the high prices are worthy only for the beautiful location. Very few options in the menu, expensive yes, but the coffee is excellent. If you would like to have dinner you have to be patient, take your time, read a book... The service is good. Its young people and they always try to do their best, therefore we will come back.
I used to eat in Portofino years ago before the renovation took place and was curious to know how it now looks like! The new interior is nice and the location is very beautiful right at the lake but... Unfortunately the food was mediocre (we ordered Pizza and Pasta all pesto genovese plus beetroot salad) and the service was ok. Sadly this beautiful place still offers only a nice view but nothing else! Would not recommend it to anybody.
