Ristorante Beccofino

For our first 3 to 5 visits since 2015 we almost wanted to write a 'very good' review to them. Price was reasonable, food quality was solid, you rarely needed to wait for a table. The last 3 visits until recently (July 2017) has made us to give a final review for the three-year-visiting. Simply like most of the restaurants in Salzburg, they can be good one time, bad next time; thanks to the Castle and Old Town to spoil them. This place we found was well serving, good pizza and non-boring pasta selections, and simply, it wouldn't go too wrong. However, since whenever the young half-owner or senior waiter whatever his position is has taken the most of the responsibilities there, you no longer find it's a restaurant for a pleasant dinner time anymore. Pastas has become not cared made, the Tagliatelle itself is not even comparable with any 0.98 cents/500 g cheap factory brand in a supermarket; if you want to give any feedback to them,i.e. the oil in the Calamari n Broccoli Tagliatelle did taste a bit weird... he would tell you with hand gesture, "What's wrong with it! Of course it's olive oil!" in a kind of friendly, joking but snappy attitude. This wasn't the last time visiting, followed by the food has consistently become sloppy to make you think why spending 9-14 EUR pp for this pasta instead of cooking at home dumping some tomato in the pan... plus you have to behave to accept whatever versions of order they would bring to your table. They serve a lot of tourist groups. Almost every time visit there were always Korean groups. Maximum 35 minutes dinning, considered as a quick dinner, and quick money for them. Though when tasting the food on your table as two "Stammkunden", hum, do we want to be there treated as tourists? No, thanks.

This is not an Italian restaurant. Despite the menu, the people that run this place are not familiar, evenIn a passing manner with Italian food. Before I get into the negative aspects, let me just say on a positive note that the Caprese we ordered was acceptable and even beautifully prepared. Let's be honest though, how hard is that?Next the minestrone. It was a chicken stock with a few vegetables. Wrong! Not close. Pasta dish arrived with what I can only describe as a "ham blanket". A bit sour smelling like a prosciutto. Not quite as pungent but still off putting. And the presentation? Awful. Underneath the "rosemary cream sauce" was thin and bland. Perhaps broken or more likely just actually cream with some rosemary. Not a sauce at all. Pizza arrive un-sliced. Annoying. Simply put, the back of the house here doesn't grasp the fundamentals of cooking. Definitely not cooking Italian. My perception is the owners are selling Italian food as a gimmick to separate travelers from their money with the promise of well known dishes. I noticed management sometimes responds to negative reviews by placing blame on the customer for not affording the restaurant a second chance. I stand in staunch opposition to this tactic. In this business, you are not entitled to a second chance.

Preisleistung des Mittagsstisch ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Pizzen sind gut bis sehr gut, abhängig vom Koch und der Auslastung.Ambiente ist vom vorherigen Gasthaus übernommen.Service unterschiedlich gut aber immer bemüht.

Ayrım yapmadan yediğim tüm yemekler için süper lezzetli diyebilirim. Makarnaları, pizzaları, tatlıları ve salataları çok iyi. Salzburg'da gizli kalmış bir hazine.

staff not very friendly or attentive while we were there. Different staff attended to us during the time.
