We enjoyed our evening very much at Quadfrifoglio after coming across it by chance - pleasant restaurant with a lovely terrace to the rear. Very family friendly and welcoming to small people - even shouty ones. There are some odd negative reviews on TA which could have put us off, but I am most glad we ignored them! We ate well, at not unreasonable prices and enjoyed all our food, chosen with difficulty from a wide menu with many temptations. Fine dining it is not, but neither does it present itself as such. We found the dishes exactly as described in the menu - at least as far as we saw, and the service was friendly, relaxed and yet perfectly attentive. Of course it is possible that they had an off-day, but I have also come to suspect that in some cases, people get the service they deserve and will always find something to moan about. I am just hoping we can go back before our holiday in the beautiful Maggia Valley is over!
I went with a friend to take a drive in Vallemaggia and we had a small pitstop at Quadrifoglio because it serves the best latte macchiato and cappuccino around. Saturdays it might do my food shopping next door to them and then have a coffee and read the paper there with hubbydear. The friend with whom I went in and I are Dutch so between the two of us we speak Dutch. The waitress overheard us and gave a great surprise. She had written 'good morning' in sirup on the foam of our coffees! She really went out of her way. I am definitely looking forward to go to dinner once. There is a lovely selection of wines. The whole place has been done up a while ago. It is very stylish and would fit in any big city. A terrace on the front to check out who is passing by, and a terrace on the back to sit quitely in the shade.
We love eating at Quadrifoglio and you'll often find us there on the weekend. They have recently refurbished the whole restaurant and it looks great. The food is very good. I can recommend the Burgers, Pizza's, Tartare, Deserts, Seafood dishes and Pasta. The menu is quite different from others in the area, they have good wine selection and the price is very reasonable. The ambience is very warm and welcoming. The wooden tables and granite wall are lovely features. There's also a new space for bigger parties. Even the drive up the valley is beautiful. Highly Recommended!!
We just went to Quadrifoglio & I just had to write & say how great the service is there. The wait staff are so friendly, very attentive & great at their job. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Without a doubt the best for miles around. The pizza & hamburger Brie are still our favourites on the menu. The desert is also a must. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the valley.
