Royal D'angkor - Tisch reservieren

We visited the Royal D'angkor towards the end of a week-long stay in Argeles sur Mer.We asked to sit on the terrace outside but were told it was too windy to serve outside so instead were lead inside where it was oppressively hot (and fly-infested).Anyway...There was a huge range of Chinese buffet options available - some I recognised, many I didn't.I'm not very food-adventurous so I took a small plate of what I knew. My wife tried a few things less identifiable.Just as we returned to our seats the manager told us they were closing in 10 minutes and did we need anything else. We had literally just sat down!He then proceeded to clear all the serveries and food away. We felt very under pressure to eat up and leave.We commented on the fact that food wasn't covered in spite of the many flies around the serving area.In total the meal cost €50 for two adult buffets and one child's. For what it was, it was terrible value.Be further warned - both my wife and I were violently ill later that day. Given it was the only place we ate that day we drew a conclusion.

We went for a family meal after a long day exploring the area, so were suitably hungry.The restaurant is predominantly a buffet in that you help yourself to your food, but with several types of food:1. Hot Chinese dishes like Sweet-and-Sour, Noodles, Beef in Black Bean Sauce, Dim Sum, Chilli Chicken, Spring Rolls, Crab Claws, etc2. Sushi - a few different types. 3. Cold salads, including some cooked-but-cold seafood.4. The grill : you pick your food and they cook it to your liking. This was amazing - we had King Prawns, Steak, stir-fry beef, all sorts.5. Desserts: mostly fruit and crunchy sweet things. 6. Ice Cream. The service was attentive and courteous. They had a Spanish guitarist who played some lovely tunes. We all had a great time and ate the things we wanted.We went about 8pm and it was great, but clearly got much busier later, so go earlier if you can.

We went for a meal in Argeles tonight and stumbled upon the Royal D'angkor. For a very reasonable set price you can eat as much freshly cooked meat and fish as you like along with the standard favourites of a Chinese buffet. Plus fresh fruit, sweet things my wife loved and good quality ice cream. The tepanyaki is excellent. A family run restaurant with great atmosphere and service. Highly recommended and great value for money.

We were shown to a table and we asked for another as we preferred to sit indoors - no problem we were moved at once.The food was well presented, abundant and the hot food was hot and the cold food was cold.The sirloin steak was excellent, the wok chef switched to fluent English on realising we were English.The service was excellent, the best we have ever had in this type of restaurant, friendly but not intrusively so.

We went at lunchtime not very much else open . However we had an excellent meal we very pleased with the amount of choice available the polite and attentive service especially the lady who grilled all our fresh meat and fish. We were totally replete did not feel hurried and the meal was 35E including beer and wine. My husband probably ate his 14.50E in sushi and icecream ignoring the steak and langoustine .
