Strolling around lovely Murten we found this place. Pastries, pies and sandwiches looked delicious, so we went in and bought some. Had a Quiche with leek, cheese and cherries(!! . A roastbeef sandwich and some of their lovely mini cakes. The sandwich was very nice, fresh and juicy meat, good sauce and bread. The Quiche the combination sounds crazy was nothing short of fantastic. The flavours go together so well. Sweet, sour and savoury. All at the same time .... and together a perfect combination. Highly recommended. The mini cakes are a feast for your eyes. They are really pieces of Art. But they not just look good, they taste divine. Perfectly arranged layers of cake base and cream. These things are little masterpieces. Be it chocolate or strawberry. They got many flavours, couldn't try them all. All comes with a price of course. It ain't cheap, but it's worth every single buck. Staff owner were great as well. When we passed Murten a few days later we came back to carry some more mini cakes and Quiche back home. I wish they would have a Tearoom Confiserie here in Luzern.
We were on a Sunday morning walk through Murten and passed by this tearoom which had laid out some tables out in the open in an adjacent alley. It was a sunny October morning and we just had coffee and croissants. The croissants were absolutely delicious. Later we went inside and were amazed at the wide selection of pastries and déiice sandwiches. We purchased a slice of apple strudel, a cake and a couple of salami and ham délice sandwiches for our afternoon tea. Although there were adequate seating tables available inside as well as in the sidewalk arcade, the restaurant was full. We found our take-away pastries and sandwiches to be delicious and can only testify to the high quality of this bakery.
Murten is a very gorgeous town to spend the day and eat one cake from this Tea Room every 1/2 an hour that would take me a few days haha. Cakes was sooooo delicious! Pity I don’t have much time but to move on. Beautiful interior decor comfortable seats too. Lunch time was packed last year when visited so this time I waited till after 3 pm. Price wise...what to complain if you are in Switzerland Just enjoy.
Wir haben Kaffee und Kuchen hier jedes Mal, wenn wir Murten besuchen. Spotless Räumlichkeiten, toller Service und fantastischer Kaffee und Kuchen. Es ist wie ein altmodischer Tee-Zimmer mit einer schönen Auswahl an Kuchen, um vorn zu kaufen und dann thru zum Restaurant an der Rückseite. Auch wunderbare Schokoladen kaufen und mitnehmen. Sollte diesen nicht verpassen!
