Stadtkind Konstanz

Everybody wants a great local cafe that is what StadtKind is for me. I always have a cinnamon chai tea latte (soya) which comes accompanied with a little cookie, I opt for the citron flavour (they are just mmmm). When I fancy a bite I go for the mozarello tomato panini try to resist all of their cakes. I have worked my way through most of them... (it has taken a year) they are all delicious. Germans have a think called Quark Ballchen. I have tried them at many bakeries in Konstanz but i must say that Stadtkind has the best. They are the softest most moist. Lush! I always bring my out of town friends that are visiting here they are always delighted. You can see from the start that the founder of Stadtkind is really passionate about her cafe. The choice of pastel colours keep it really fresh pretty. It is pleasant to be in Stadtkind. Even if i am not hungry, I just liked to sit sip on a warm drink watch people pass by. The cool thing is that you can sit in the windows on the street to get that in out feeling. Stadtkind is a great place to meet friends, go with kids or just flying solo. The staff are really friendly and pretty much know what I want when I walk in. I am so lucky to have this as my local cafe!

I have tried over the years of my visits to Konstanz to make it into Stadtkind, but the place was always was mostly booked. Success on this visit, though. Stadtkind has a variety of seating options from padded chairs, rustic wooden furniture, window seats and throw pillows around the place. There is an additional seating area in the back room kitchen display area. The staff is professional, friendly and efficient. Place your order and pay at the counter and grab a seat. I ordered a soy milk hot chocolate (2,90€ and it hit the spot. They have an extensive assortment of healthy options from eggs, fruits, veggies, fresh baked breads, snacks, desserts, sandwiches and more. It may not be the cheapest option around, but the atmosphere is nice and the variety is very good. Newspapers are around for customers. Not really the place to go if you need to work on projects as they do not offer Wi-Fi, to rotate the seating faster. The restrooms are spotless.

Ich habe diesen Ort geliebt!!! Ich ging am Samstagmorgen zum Brunch ... alles war köstlich und die Betreiberin dieses Lokals war sehr nett. Die Qualität des Essens ist sehr gut und Chai Late Yuuuummm! Ich kann nicht den besten Ort für ein Frühstück oder auch nur einen Kaffee finden. Ich fand die Atmosphäre wirklich entspannend und die Dekoration sehr charmant:

The service is friendly, the breads are great and the Rhabarb tea is the best in constancy! The hours on Sunday are too short and the breakfast menu is too easy, but the coffee and the atmosphere make up for it.

Had a very fine breakfast away from the tourist crowds. The food was tasty and beautifully presented in a lovely cheerful setting.
