Sushi Tenzan - Tisch reservieren

We found Sushi Tenzan during our quest to find the best sushi in the Basel area.This place now became our monthly meeting place with some of our friends, so you can imagine: the sushi is very good :)As others pointed out, it is not a large restaurant by any means, but that just makes the place cozy and gives a family-feeling.With this, reservation is recommended; but in case you don't get space, take-away is also a possibility.Regarding the food itself: we believe that it really is the nicest sushi you can get in the Basel area, but note, we only tried ~75% of the sushi places, so there is a few more to go. Sushi is fresh and prepared on-the-spot, portion sizes are decent and the variety is completely fine as well. We usually ordered the sushi combinations, which are a good option for sharing with friends. To end the meal with nice dessert, we also recommend the mochis (especially the vanilla/green tea ones).Regarding the service: there is primarily one lady who is in charge (unfortunately we don't know the name - yet -) and she is just really nice. Her behavior is just so genuinely friendly, it is really fun to get to know her over time.Go and enjoy, maybe one fine day we'll get to meet there :)

Even though Tenzan is a small place you will always find it busy due to the high quality & reasonable service ,parking spaceswere available which is another plus , if you are a sushi lover don't expect a big varieties of rolls or fish, the menu is very limited as I mentoioned the sashimi plate which was €28 has only 3 kinds of fish (the flowery plate on their wibsite ) however that dish was the highest price on the list

The sushi offered here are excellent. However you need to be a little patient since everything is made freshly by the chef. It is quite a small place, nothing special. The location is directly at the main street, good for picking up sushi "to go". Very friendly owner and good quality.

We where there for a business lunch. The restaurant is very clean and the personnel is very kind. They have a good choice and a lunch-offer. There a just a few parking lot. If you get there at 12 a.m. You may have to wait a little.

Very traditional high standards. Can strongly recommend it! Small but run by a special couple that provide excellent service.
