We discovered Sushi Train almost a year ago, after a previous favourite ceased business. Let me just say, we have never looked back. We would be regular consumers between once and twice a week almost without fail!The variety of delicious food on offer is outstanding. It is a large, clean, easily accessible restaurant with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.Along with the usual, more traditional staples, there are some really interesting, tasty creations. I am personally hooked on the mini curry with rice at present (a special creation belonging to this store) even in the sweltering summer heat!!The pricing is reasonable which means that even if you are ravenous, you can easily satisfy the urge without surrendering your life savings!Some particular favourites we like to indulge in include, ramen (an absolute must try) aburi beef roll, takoyaki, seaweed ship, sashimi herb fed king fish or tuna and salmon sashimi plates, salmon nigiri, kakiyagi, calamari, karage chicken, crab claw, gyoza (both pork & vegetarian), katsu don, and the list could literally go on and on. The best part in all this, if something interests you and you aren't sure what it is, the staff can give you a full run down on ingredients and even their opinions because they have tried most of the products. There is a large selection of refreshments and a range of light desserts to finish your meal also. Outstanding favourites for us are the chocolate mousse, mango or chocolate gelato and cheesecake, but there are many more also. These are just small cup portions designed primarily to cleanse the pallette. It would be fairly obvious to those who follow my reviews that I am quite besotted with all things Japanese but I can assure you, I only appreciate quality and good value. There are many other sushi options available in our surrounding area but I can wholeheartedly say they do not conpare. Keep up the good work Sushi Train Capalaba!!
Excellent selection of menu items, fresh and delicious. Excellent service. Only downside is they don’t have paper menus-only menus that you download on your phone, which is a little inconvenient if you don’t have the QR code scanner capability already on your phone.
Nice sushi as usual, nice new spicy chicken menu. I recommend the chef to reduce the amount of use mayonnaise as they cover the natural flavor and the freshness of ingredients. Sushi will taste even better with less mayonnaise
Tucked away in a drab shopping centre, this sushi train is one of the better of the franchises. It’s fresh, busy and friendly and had thumbs up coming from all of our party, ranging from Highly recommended.
