The Kulm Hotel was a wonderful choice for our ski holiday. It exceeded all expectations! The rooms were spacious and well equipped, with magnificent views of the mountains. But the actual highlight of the trip was the spa. We especially enjoyed the saunas and massages, all this with a magnificent mountain view. Breakfast was also delicious and rich. Many hot and cold options that heated us on the slopes for a whole day. After dinner we had “Dine round” option, so could choose from 6 different restaurants. One of them (Muntanella) has recently been added to Michelin Guide. Very recommended to check it. And talking about slopes, the ski-in/ski-out location of the hotel was incredibly comfortable. We were able to step out of the door and on the slopes so it is easy to fit in a lot of skiing time during our stay. The ski rental is also close to the hotel. Overall we had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to go back!
We ordered food today (for delivery), which was probably one of the worst food delivery experiences I had before. In addition, the interface did not display the labels of half fields, there was no field for the phone number. Since our address is not yet in Google Maps, I called the hotel to inform them. Apparently this message didn't go through it, I asked an email to call the taxi company that delivered the food. The taxi driver, who is probably the main reason for giving only 2 stars, has bruised me that he was on his way for 20 minutes while he actually waited in his car, was only too lazy to leave it and read the names at the door. Food: The pad Thai was below average, but the curry was excellent (at a total price of >100 CHF relatively expensive). Summary: We go back to Kulm, but definitely never order again
Our stay was pure pleasure from check-in to check-out. Attentive staff, big windows in both the room and the spa to enjoy the amazing and uninterrupted view of the surrounding peaks. Family friendly splash hour in the pool and jacuzzi was a hit with the kids. A choice of excellent in-house restaurants to suite all tastes, we tried three and each provided great food. Perfect location for skiing especially with kids. Cross the road to get the ski bus or walk less than 5 minutes to the nearest lift. The piste finishes opposite the hotel, which the children loved. No long walks carrying skis.... We loved our stay from start to finish and only wish we could have stayed longer.
Overpriced in terms of room and restaurant quality, especially Thai. The rooms need a complete refreshment, starting with the replacement for the beds extremely small with old mattresses, bad sleep back pain every morning. Low safety on the 4th day disappeared a pair of ski boots. Major plus is right next to the ski lifts. SPA is beautiful, but on a smaller side.
