Have been using Blue Submarine for easily 15 years. Food is always great but unfortunately, since the refurb the portion sizes are nowhere near the sizes they used to be. The new plastic trays are half the size of the previous bags!!! We get the feeling they are consumed with the ‘Uber Eats’ orders and the traditional take away side is suffering. Just returned with food for family of 5 and every one of us is disappointed. Mix kebab and chips was very poor. Hardly any meat. I’ve given 4 stars as historically they’ve been great. I hope the management read this and listen to a loyal customer. We’ll give them another try but unless they get back to normal, we’ll be going elsewhere.
fantastic chip shop and fantastic chips. I had chips from many areas in the usa and the chips from here may be the best at all. the broken chips were perfect, the teig was crispy and stuck to the chips, how broken chips should be, none of these orange greasy chips that they find at some who try scattered chips. concerning the personal, so they were great, we asked for vegetarian chips that they were happy enough to commit and cook us two portions in a separate amount of oil. I'm not local, but next time we'd be fantasy battery chips that I'd be happy to come back for more.
the best chip. I've been here for many years and eating is always great. test the online order for the first time yesterday and it was easy to use and they can also adjust their order. ordered 2 x haddock, 1 large cod, large simple chips plus a few pages. my job was ready when I arrived there and I was greeted by polite staff. everything was boiled to perfection the teig on the fish was wonderfully crispy and the fish in the inner flickered perfectly apart. fantastic.
that was nice. it cannot really fail as its carving not a restaurant. would use again if in the area and in the necessity of a chip shop repair. kebabs are named differently here. the lady server of the woman pointed out that I have something to do with it.
