The Dorset Arms Pub

Great gastropub in the middle of some beautiful English countryside. We booked a place here so we could call in halfway along the Forest Way, an abandoned railway line turned country walk. It was a small detour from the walk so no problems getting there. We sat in the rear garden along with our dog to enjoy the view. Staff were very friendly and had is seated promptly and provided menus and took drinks. The food was extremely good, worthy of some fine dining restaurants, absolutely no complaints. We ordered the half lobster, royal fish and chips both of which were cooked to perfection, along with the prawn cocktail for starters and finished off with some made on premises orange ice-cream. Great meal out! Thank you to the Dorset Arms for a great meal

Biggest book I've ever seen. And to think the subject could stretch that far. Plus, can't go past a retrotastic prawn cocktail.

A great pub on the High Street but has recently closed i don't know if its for refurbishment or change of use.

Enjoyable lunch stop here whilst out walking. Food and service very good. Would recommend.
