my wife and I visited this pub today, Sunday april and both ordered the beef. we found the bark to be hard and strict. we were asked if everything was in order and guess that the meat was very hard. the lady, we offered ourselves steak knives that we accepted. even then it was hard to cut. at a nearby table had a father with young great difficulties to cut her flesh and his own. While he did not complain, it was obvious that neither he nor his youngs had eaten a lot. we have eaten at this place and enjoyed the meal. with regret, however, we do not see any further journey there. our day was planned there with a meal after we had visited sheffield park. this in itself shows that this was one of our most popular decisions to eat.
Wow what a roast!! We had the good fortune to spend mothers day with Dave and Adam at the foresters arms in fairwarp a gorgeous country pub!! The food was exquisite having the prawn cocktail and the spicy hummus topped with pomegranate to start both...were delish! Followed by the roast beef which I don't think could be beaten not only did the beef have a wonderful flavour but the veggies were clearly all cooked fresh and the roasties were lovely!!! We also had the creme brulee which was amazing and got a free glass of bubbles for the mother's on arrival! We will be back and this is a gem in the country. If you haven't been it's an absolute must. Best pub in Sussex !!!
Once again had lunch here. Good varied menu reasonably priced. Nice selection of beers and good service from the staff. Will certainly go back there again and recommend it to others. On summer dasys has a very nice garden to sit in.
we have booked for a family group of eight adults and two children. the foresters offers a really good and inexpensive pub food type menu. the service and eating were excellent.
