Town Hall Tavern

Was recommended here by friends but did not know it had changed hands recently, staffed seemed to be still getting the hang of things so was quite slow. We were informed there was a delay in ordering and wouldn’t be able to order for at least another 45 mins. Food eventually came but was bland! Reminded me of school dinners, lumpy mash potato shaped out of an ice cream scoop and boiled veg, not the best! Meat was ok May be for some people or maybe we had a bad experience.

Good Sunday lunch in a quieter part of town at the weekend. Friendly service, good value, decent quality Nice to see a full selection of Taylor’s beer Recommend booking, we popped in at 12 and it was empty, back at 1 and we got the last food service table (the only have a few tables)

Had a midweek lunch with our dog, excellent from start to finish. A dog bowl was brought over as soon as we sat down, good choice of beers and the food was great, fresh ingredients good hearty portions and decent value. We will be back thank you.

Absolutely fantastic Sunday dinner! Couldn't ask for a more friendlier and efficient service! Would recommend to anyone for both food and real ale
