Unfortunately a bad dining experience. The restaurant reopened in October 2022 under new management called Vecchio Forno. It started with the fact that despite reservations for 5 people, no suitable table was reserved and the five of us squeezed into a very small table for 4. The boss particularly stood out because of his big words and praised fish, meat and truffles. The wine list was short and imprecise. Champagne wasn't available by the glass, so we ordered a bottle. There were also ugly glasses that were filled to the brim. The red wine we ordered was no longer available, but the alternative offered “Guidalberto 2019” was at least ok. We only found out the prices of the two bottles at the end with the bill. The beef carpaccio was tasteless, stringy, loveless the meat was even partially frozen! The focaccia on the bread plate was underbaked. The green salad was at least convincing. The sea bream for two people for the main course was very large and of good quality, unfortunately the potatoes served with it were a bit dark and bitter. The Bistecca Fiorentina, also for 2 people, was far too big (around 1.5 kg)
Die Unterkunft entsprach genau der Beschreibung und gab uns wunderbare Tage. Kontakt vor Ort mit Selbst-Check-in war unkompliziert und einfach. Es gibt einen permanenten Parkplatz vor Ort und es gibt einen Supermarkt direkt nebenan. Der Bahnhof ist 5-10 Gehminuten entfernt. Es gibt tolle Restaurants und Brunch-Standorte in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Lifte sind auch zu Fuß erreichbar. Was auch großartig ist, ist, dass Haustiere erlaubt sind. Also konnten wir unseren Hund mitnehmen. Der Kontakt vor Ort ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen sicher gerne wieder.
Restaurant: Locally inviting, but the cheap paper napkins don't match the white covered tables service was nice, but the boss was a bit full bodied everything was very expensive carpaggio was tough and probably not a fillet pizza was only lukewarm wine list with insufficient information and the cheapest wine (49 CHF) very simple be careful with recommended meat and wine off the menu: be sure to ask for the price before ordering!
Für uns war die Selbstkontrolle eine völlig neue Erfahrung. Aber alles funktionierte perfekt. Das Zimmer war schön und sehr sauber. Fragen wurden sofort per Telefon und E-Mail beantwortet. Alles lief super! Vielen Dank, wir hatten einen wundervollen Kurzurlaub.
