Wirtshaus "Zum Hirschenwirt"

Full disclosure: I live now in Germany so my thoughts are based on my two years living oversees. Zum Hirschenwirt is a traditional Austrian restaurant. Menu selection is limited by American standards but their offerings are sufficient to satisfy many palates. Portions are pretty good size. Stiegl beer is the choice but they have a good variety of wines, as well. Our waiter spoke great English and there were no issues with communications. The only drawback was the night we ate there, the restaurant was uncomfortably warm. Perhaps it was because of an unseasonably warm winter day but even after sweaters were removed, we were still hot. Going topless didn't seem like a good option either. We would return.

Am ersten Tag dort essen wir unser erstes Abendessen in Salzburg~ Der Service hier ist perfekt, außerdem ist die Atmosphäre geeignet, um die Mahlzeiten zu genießen oder einfach nur ein paar Drinks zu genießen, nicht nur für Familien, sondern auch für Paare^^ außerdem die Gerichte Hier ist großartig! Die österreichische Küche ist äußerst authentisch, insbesondere die „Forelle“, eines unserer Hauptgerichte an diesem Tag. Es ist gut, das authentische österreichische Essen zu probieren

We stayed in the hotel next door - We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of the food. After eating we then sat in the bar and had a drink, wish we had gone in here earlier on our trip as there was a great atmosphere here. Food was just like eating home cooked food. Loved it and was reasonable too.

Hochwertiges Essen mit viel Geschmack und Auswahl. Sehr vernünftige Preise. Ich schätze den Nichtraucherbereich des Restaurants. Buchen Sie, sonst stellen Sie möglicherweise fest, dass alle anderen diesen schönen Ort gefunden haben und Sie keinen Tisch bekommen. Wir hatten das Weiner Snitzel und Version Stew.

Nice service and food in the biergarten behind the hotel, and a very nice apfelstruddel for dessert????
