We ate here for the first time around Easter. Although a closed group was served in the large hall, we were served food within a reasonable time a great achievement. What we like here is that different quantities of meat dishes are indicated on the menu. On our first visit we decided on chicken wings as a starter and the largest portion of cream schnitzel with chicken and were more than full as the portions were already generous overall. I can 't think of any other restaurant in the area where the portions are this big. If we had known what to expect from the main course, we would probably have left out the wings or opted for less schnitzel. Not only were we full, we also enjoyed the food. On the second visit we had pumpkin soup, shredded game and pepper. My husband has been raving about the pumpkin soup and the sliced meat ever since. I was also impressed by the pepper with the side dishes I really like Suure Mocke and therefore liked the slight acidity in the pepper. Since I was actually already full but couldn 't do without vermicelles, I ordered the mini version. So if mini is already so big, I don 't even want to know how big the normal portion is (in between there is also the small version)! The dairy is now ranked first or second among the restaurants in the region.
The entrecote was specially cut so that the tendon ran precisely through the piece of meat. With the morel sauce for Fr. 6. the two morels were completely overcooked. However, the Nüsslersalat with bacon is excellent. The waiting time is rather long, even between courses.
Very nice rural “restaurant”. Food was very good and large portions. Game from regional hunting is highly recommended.
