There are two restaurants on the slopes at Mittelstation - the Alpengruss and Briand. On a day in peak season the Alpengruss, with its table service, was full, so we visited Briand. Here there were quite a few tables available (a clue, maybe....). It is self service. Being busy, the staff on the counter were rushed off their feet and it all felt a bit stressed. You order, pay and then wait for your food. Unfortunately my order went missing and when I left my tray to look for someone on the restaurant floor to help, the tray was whisked away, and I can only say that the response to the mini debacle was rude (my fault, I shouldn't have left my tray unattended) - the female staff were kind, the male member in charge was clearly stressed and rather short on charm. 25 minutes from ordering to having the order fulfilled... it doesn't really work, Briand! However, the food when it came was fine.
