The pizzas are crispy and have a lot of toppings. In autumn you should choose the pizza with porcini mushrooms and in spring the pizza with asparagus. The quality is very good, the service very friendly. Whenever we feel like having pizza we are...choosing Freihof for years. Very recommendable. Very many regular guests. The prices are average.

On a warm evening we took a table in the garden (from which there are views of the lake, across the road)....The waiter was very efficient and welcoming. There are a wide choice of pizza and pastas on the menu. Most of our group chose pizzas which were all enjoyed very much. The one pasta dish we tried was very well cooked. Desserts focus on a selection of ice cream based dishes. By comparison with many of the restaurants in the area, the bill was a pleasant surprise around Francs for two courses for people, inclusive of soft drinks and glasses of house wine. We would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone looking for an informal, relaxed Italian meal in the quiet town of Altendorf.
