We were lucky to be passing through Lavorgo during the "3 valleys Gastromic Festival." Defanti's creative chef came up with a menu that told the story of the creation of the Gottard railway tunnel, with many surprising elements, but always delicious. Don't expect a quick snack - expect to take your time. I imagine that this small restaurant always presents interesting combinations linked to local produce, and we intend to return. The warm welcome given by the owner and his wife shows that they have many return customers.
We had a top secret menu and because we can not understand Italian we did not know what to expect. The food was nice and too much.
the food was incredible! we had risotto with brandbone and porcini mushroom ravioli. the best dishes I had in a long time! I highly recommend it. the restaurant looks a bit old (70s style), but its lively of tourist from all over Switzerland and beyond. warm gratitude to the chef!
stay here for a night on the way to italia. we have booked a family room and for our surprise they gave us 2 rooms next to each other for the same price. . very comfortable for a family of 4 with 2 older children. great. restaurant, great service and this family-run hotel is a real gem!
