We just completed a 4-day stay in La Rocca and loved the property, staff and food absolutely. The cook is a genius in making risotto, not something that everyone can achieve. Balcony view is beautiful. I need to work out the staff. For the person they were pleasant and helpful. I would have given a 5th star, but for this one thing. As an older person with knee problems I found the shower/tub setup to be intimidating. Up and over the tub to reach the shower was not pleasant. A walk in the shower with a textured floor would have been nice. However, this charming hotel would highly recommend.
Good view and breakfast, travel map for Ticino, very friendly, helpful and nice people in the reception... You charge extra for taxes and parking for the car. Far away from the center with limited transportation, if you miss a bus, you should wait for a long time, or not possible to leave the hotel late...
Great hotel! We were welcome! The staff is so warm, so warm!! Nothing to complain. They pamper you!! The food in the restaurant is amazing. The cook takes care and ensures that it serves your taste. The rooms are large, clean and beautiful. The hotel overlooks Lake Maggiore. Fantastic view. Want to come back!
As a small family we were for the first time on holiday with our little one. We were so charmingly greeted and could enjoy our holidays to the full extent. Not only because of the helpful and friendly staff, but also because they took care of us if we did not expect it, e.g. by choosing the perfect table for us. Only with a buggy down are the steps to the restaurant (not recommended for a bike chair for which we get a helping hand from the waiters :
Staying 2 nights on the La Rocca was not enough for both of us cuz all the staff (without exception) were all friendly and helpful. As a private selection hotel employees we recommend. Since the area, the view to Lago Maggiore, the garden from the hotel everything was/is beautiful. For all the employees (reception, breakfastGirls, dinner and Etage) keep going a nice work and keep beeing with that heart and soul..
