Das Café selbst ist oldschool, als wäre die Zeit seit den 60er Jahren stehengeblieben - sehr schöner Ort. Auch guter Kaffee!
Ein schönes Café mit einem abgeschlossenen Bereich, der als „Teestube“ fungiert, wo wir einen Kaffee und ein Stück Kuchen für einen späten Nachmittagstee probierten. Wunderbare Auswahl an Kuchen / Torten im Angebot, frisch zubereitet - ich konnte einem Stück köstlichen Karottenkuchen und einem Cappuccino einfach nicht widerstehen, während meine Schwester eine heiße Schokolade und ein Stück gebackenen Käsekuchen probierte. Eine willkommene Pause, die sich lohnt, nachdem Sie den ganzen Nachmittag herumgelaufen sind und die ganze Stadt Augsburg besichtigt haben. Richten Sie uns gut ein für weitere Besichtigungen in Richtung der Fuggerei-Siedlung im Norden der Stadt.
Ein absolutes Muss, bayerisches Gebäck vom Feinsten, seit Jahrhunderten im Geschäft, und das aus gutem Grund. Wählen Sie Ihr Gebäck, suchen Sie sich einen Platz im Essbereich, bestellen Sie exzellenten Kaffee oder Tee und genießen Sie das Ambiente der alten Welt. Nicht genug darüber sagen, versuchen Sie es!
I go to visit family in Augsburg almost every year and I never miss getting some handmade chocolates from Cafe Euringer to take home. Not only that, I ask for a care package of those whenever somebody in my family asks me what I want...them to send me for x-mas! All of the chocolates are amazing and their Florentiner (a type of soft almond brittle dipped in chocolate) is the most heavenly version of this treat I have tasted. I live in Northern California where you can get pretty much everything from all over the world, but none of the fancy chocolate shops in San Francisco, that make the most incredible looking chocolates, manage to produce anything that tastes as good as the modest looking pieces from Cafe Euringer, believe it or not. Most Americans have never eaten really good chocolates, so they don 't know the difference and are easily deceived by the looks of the product. If you have grown up with Herschey 's and See 's Candies, you wouldn 't know what you 're missing... But for anybody who 's been spoiled in that regard, you won 't be disappointed at Euringer 's Cafe!
The coffee room is very normal and they have no outdoor place unfortunately but Bienenstich is an excellent simple pie that noone else can do better than they. So I would recommend to order it as a to go pie. Normally Bienenstich is something very...mediocre but not at Euringer!
Cafe Euringer is famous for great choice of selfmade cakes also for takeaway. We go there often when we have guests and everybody can choose his own cake. The cafe itself is oldschool, like the time stands still since the 60´s very nice...place. Also good coffee!
A lovely cafe, with a closed off area acting as a 'tea room ', where we tried out a coffe and slice of cake for a late afternoon tea. Wonderful selection of cakes tortes on offer, made fresh on the premises I simply couldn 't resist...a slice of delicious carrot cake, and a cappucino, whilst my sister tried a hot chocolate, and slice of baked cheesecake. A welcome break well worth it, after having walked around the whole afternoon, sight seeing all throughout the city of Augsburg. Set us up nicely for some continued sight seeing, towards the Fuggerei settlement in the north of the city.
An absolute must visit, Bavarian pastry at it's very best, in business for centuries, and for good reason. Choose your pastry, find a seat in the dining area, order excellent coffee or tea, and enjoy the old world ambiance. I can't say enough about this,...try it!
