I was billed 11Fr for a jar of tap water. No matter the quality of the food, this shameful practice is enough to avoid this restaurant. I will not come back, and I wish no one else will.
the food is actually quite in order and the service is a bit friendly (apart from that nobody can German and is exclusively served in English). What remains is the dish taste of the bill: much too expensive! a curry costs around the 35 francs, the rice has to pay for 6.50 extra!
Great Indian restaurant near Oerlikon, also easily accessible by tram e.g line 14. Has few tables outside. Great selection of Indian dishes!
I tried paneer tak a tak and kadai paneer last week and food was delicious. I travelled many places in europe and tried different Indian restaurants, I rank Tamarind as number one. Service is outstanding and staff is very friendly. At this place you can find true test of Indian food.
I love Indian food and this place was a big hit. I have ordered the tak a tak and 2nd time the dansaak. The chicken curry was also delicious. Try the garlic nan it's the best.
It's kind of a little out of the center, but it's near a tram stop. Very delicious and very nicely served thali ate, too, the soup was nice, but had to go to how much, no need, no need for staff and an original setting, a little mysterious. Absolutely worth the further move!
If you're in the mood for Indian Food, Tamarind Hill will not disappoint. The menu is pricy but so is everything else in Zurich. We enjoyed everything we got and the portions were quite large. For two people we got two entrees, a bryani and naan and it was probably too much food. The one drawback is the location. If you are staying in the city center you will have to take a taxi or public transportation to and from and there is nothing else to do in the area. But if you're craving some chicken tikka you won't go home disappointed.
I can truly recommand this restaurant! The place is charming, the stuff is very friendly and the food is just amazing!
