The soul to eat a raclette is you melt the cheese. Unfortunately in this place the cheese arrived melted in a plate... you can eat the quantity you want, but loss the traditional "do by yourself" in a raclette.The raclette is good the waitresses are friendly.
Il locale è caratteristico anche se un po' piccolo. Ottima fondue midi-midi anche abbondante. Prezzi in media con quelli (alti) del luogo.
After a long day in Zurich I wanted something fairly authentic. I asked a local who worked in a bar and they recommended here. The food was great and very well priced for Zurich! Felt very cosy and somewhere the locals would go. Highly recommended.
Nous sommes venus pour déguster une fondue valaisanne. Le restaurant était plein, on nous a conseillé de revenir une demi-heure plus tard, ce que nous avons fait. (Pensez à réserver)L'ambiance était typique, agréable car la salle était ouverte sur l'extérieur. La fondue était délicieuse et bien copieuse, servie avec du pain et des pommes de terre à volonté. Le seul bémol est que mon conjoint n'a pas pu avoir son dessert car nous étions les derniers et qu'ils ne pouvaient plus faire de crème brûlée.Le personnel était agréable, nous n'avons pas été mis dehors malgré l'heure tardive.
If you are not into salty food, I don't recommend this place to you. Cozy and nice staff but too salty. I couldn't finish the dishes. 1 pondue+1 raclette+2 glasses of wine(1 dl each) = 85 Fr
Yes, fondue is typically a winter dish but we really enjoyed our summer vacation finale meal here. The restaurant is charming and cozy and our waitress was very nice and helpful. We were only a party of two and didn't need a reservation to get a table (I am unsure of this is the norm, though). We shared a bottle of wine and a pot of classic fondue with bread and potatoes. Delicious!
Wunderbares kleines Restaurant im Herzen von Zürich. Die Bedienung war ausnehmend höflich und der Service ausgezeichnet. Dass das Personal auch noch schweizerischer Herkunft war -leider eher die Ausnahme in Zürich- rundete den Gesamteindruck positiv ab. Eine vorgängige Reservation ist geradezu Pflicht, denn die Nachfrage übersteigt die Anzahl Plätze regelmässig. Aber keine Angst, man muss nicht Wochen im Voraus anfragen, wenige Stunden genügen in der Regel vollauf. Die Preise bewegen sich auf Zürcher Niveau, innerhalb dessen aber im Durchschnitt. Wer gesunden Appetit hat, dem sei das Raclette empfohlen. Für den Preis von Fr. 39.00 kann es nämlich à Discréction genossen werden. Mein Fazit: Gerne immer wieder.
Small and cozy place. Make reservation before you go. Great service. Diverse wine choices and the best fondue we eat in Switzerland. Well worth the visit. Affordable value.
