not pleasant for tourists who do not speak German. based on other reviews, this seems to be a frequent complaint. the lookout is nice and eat pretty well, but the waitress was incredibly rude. Once she knew we were not talking German, she suddenly became incredibly cold. visited other tables consistently, but not ours. we had to ask three times about this, because she forgot us and ignored us when we tried to throw them down. do not go here unless they want to feel very unwilling.
I write this review while I have my coffee and desert. Great view of the lake and a very cozy place, but the waitress is terrible. Since the moment my mother and I entered, we can experience the rude sound as if we are not welcome here. One can feel the discriminatory racist sound. I have seen many tourists here and so we stopped, but they don't have an English menu. The waitress approached us with this aggressive thing you want with a flat face, and when I said, we don't speak German, they shrug their shoulders and sighed. I wanted to place an order for a coffee and tea with a tiramisu without alcohol, but she was unwilling to help me understand the menu in any way. Every time I asked any question, she sighed and let us know that our questions disturb her. Unbelievable I ordered what I had to order and experienced the amazingly terrible hospitality. I pay now and if I ever pass this route again, I will definitely avoid this place. I don't understand why you would accept established tourists and treat them awfully. Don't say hello to her. And if the owner reads this, I suggest you fly to Asia and learn something or two about hospitality and hospitality. That would help you.
beautiful restaurant for the view of the gletschersee. I had a chewing gum soup with garnel while my friends had the chicken fingers for lunch. both were great!
2 stars just for the food that was okay. But the staff! Fully terrible experience and it was probably the worst we ever had. We came to the restaurant and nobody even said hello. For the menu we waited more than 10 minutes, although the waiter was around. Then we ordered and waited for food for 35 minutes. (I would accept that because I know that terrace was busy. But what I wouldn't accept is the behaviour of the staff. We also wanted to order a dessert, but again, we waited for more than 10 minutes with empty glasses, no one even asked if we wanted to drink more. We waited and waited. 3 people talking about the staff and laughing at the bar and no one took care of coming and asking if we chose a dessert or not. I was really upset, annoyed the conversation between the staff and asked for an invoice. The waiter came, gave us the bill without a word I said we pay with the card. She disappeared without a word, I thought she needed to get the card machine. But in the meantime, she brought dirty glasses from a table and took more drinks to a table. So we waited again, sweetly: then she came back, not even said the amount we have to pay, took the payment and went. Without a word goodbye, thank you, a beautiful day, nothing. This is a very sad Stor and I was really disappointed and upset and that made me sure I will never come back. Although the location and food is good, the service is a tragedy. Fantastic location with the most beautiful view. Right next to the lake with the mountains in the backdrop, just makes the place gorgeous.

We waited and waited and waited.. 3 people from staff talking and laughing on the bar and noone even cared to come and ask if we have chosen some dessert or not. I was really upset, interupted the talking ongoing between the staff and asked for a bill. Waiter came, gave us the bill without a word I said we will pay with card. She disappeared without a word I thought she needed to get the card machine. But in the meantime she brought dirty glasses from some table and took another drinks to some table. So we waited again, lovely : then she came back, didnt even say the amount we need to pay, took the payment and left. Without any word goodbye, thank you, have a nice day, nothing. We stopped to get dinner with the family and right away felt lime we were not wanted. The lady immediately said the tables were already resered and we should try somewhere else. As we wer leaving saw a few tables with no reservation card and ask about them. She rudely said ok to the one table but we could tell she was not having a good day. The entire time there we felt like we were in conveniecing her. When we finally ask for the check she rudely said that we needed to wait. I have been lucky to travel and eat at many restaurants but this was the worst. How a restaurant with an amazing location can hire people like this is beyond me.
Stopped for lunch. Looking for some fish. We found Fish and chips. A nice white fish with a light herbed batter. Cooked just right for us. Pomme frites were also very good. The Vegetable soup was good. We also had the öpfelchüechli for dessert. Fried apples in vanilla and rum sauce. Yummy. I will come back again
