It was a wonderful experience - from the entry to the interiors to the customer service, the menu and the food itself. Everything stayed true to the Royal theme. Highly recommended. The only glitch being they didnt accept credit cards.
This restaurant had incredible customer service. The food was good and the atmosphere inviting. Would return if in Kapfenberg again.
Absolutely love this restaurant. Have been there now over 8 times. the staff know us by name and know what we like to order. its always fun and happy.
The restaurant tries to bring back some of the old imperial time which ended in 1918.It’s interesting the least and the interior has a lot of mementoes from the past.Service is kind of slow, food is nicely served but average.The day before I had dinner in the Schicker restaurant just around the corner, about the same priceBut the food was excellent. Needless to say where I will have dinner again.
The owner dresses like emperor Franz Joseph in this lovely little restaurant with lots of historical interest. Portraits and memorabilia from the Hapsburgs, antique items and good food. Food from around Austria including palatschinken from Burgenland. No credit cards.
There are very nice rooms, with speziell pictures anjd things of the old time. Each part of the rooms is not to big aand so you have a nice, private ambiente. The meal is exclusive and the prices are not to high.
If you want to experience something special, go for the Kaiser in Kapfenberg. We have been there several times on different occasions, usually with some relatives from abroad, and it has always been a nice experience. The food is excellent but not overpriced. The atmosphere is oldfashioned, though somewhat cozy. In August it was very hot on the premises because some fellow guests objected to opening the windows or turning on the air condition.
The worst dining experience ever! Laughable service, Terrible food. The salmon tartare is nothing else as a cheap salmon spread, the steak was so hard that can barely eat. It took 35 minutes between the courses. Way to much! The waiters uniforms (Kaiser Franz Joseph time style) quite dirty. At the end the do not accept any credit cards! A very bad joke on the gastronomic scene in Kapfenberg. Waste of time and money - by the way ... expensive too! Shame that something like this is still posible!
