the best cheese salad in the whole alpine stone! (if you like strong mountain cheese, like me) after I praised the cheese salad before location, I was allowed to taste an even stronger cheese from the friendly renter who was really nice. we were rarely served so friendly! (if you like strong mountain cheese, as I) auch after having praised cheese salad immediately before place, I feel at the friendly wetin an even more powerful cheese, that was really very nice. we were rarely so friendly!

It's a beautiful place with a wonderful view to the lake of Constance and the surrounding areas of Appenzell. The restaurant has been run by the present owners for many years. The choice of food is simple and satisfactory. The reason I give only 3 is that after a long hike , one needs to queue up to order the food and another queue for the ladies loo too as there is only one toilet. Having said that, I still would go back as the hike from Teufen is a good one where you see alot of cows, horses, sheep and chicken on the way.
