Le Baron could easily be considered "a secret". It is slightly tricky to find and certainly not well sign posted. You might even miss it...BUT once you found it and after a very warm welcome got seated, you might even consider not to leave again. Shot menu - still some difficult decisions to make. The food is exquisit. If you dare, try to convince the owner with your own wine knowledge - we guarantee you will have a lot of fun, you will get some thorough education and probably discover you do not have enough knowledge to succeed this challenge. Eventually you come across some great and very rare wines. Whatever ones choice is, the evening will be unforgettable.

Our group of four had a lovely dinner here. Our French language skills were extremely minimal, but Gregory made us feel welcome. The food is really superb: we had two vegetarians in our group and we are also from a city famous for having food snobs, so we know we are spoiled. This is the type of place where you think of returning to the area (small town) again just so you can have the lovely dinner experience.

We have had a lunch today in this restaurant and everything has changed since the winter! The menu is quite exquisite with herbs and salads that are freshly picked. Delicious cooking for adults that look for the best but no special menu for the kids. It would be a fine idea to have special dishes for them. A place where I long to come back soon!

Recommended by our friends, we wanted to have a go at le Baron. It was a Friday, and we entered the restaurant at On its own, the interior is rather quaint, and it was maybe full. We waited for about minutes to...be seated, but it appears that there was only one waitress for all tables. So we sat at a table with dirty dishes, and another minutes passed before it was cleaned for us. And another minutes passed before we were brought the menu. We asked for the dish of the day, but were told it is already sold out. The standard menu had only the usual mountain soup, fondue, raclette and pasta. Nothing fancy, so we decided to leave and went for a nearby restaurant le Sapin, for a tasty lunch, even it was quite late for that.
