Vi var 12 deltagare som åt ganska gott här efter en konferens men det uppstod flera missar i servicen. Som fördrink beställdes Dry Martini till alla där vi istället fick en vanlig "Martini Dry". Efter synpunkter byttes drinkarna ut och in kommer samma drink upphälld i fina "Dry Martini glas" spetsad med Vodka och kompletterad med oliv. Flertalet gäster drack inte ur. Vi beställde mycket god mat och fick fantastiskt vin till. Dock vad det ofta vinglasen fick stå tomma utan att vi själva hade möjlighet att fylla på. På så vis kom smakupplevelsen i otakt då maten ibland saknade ackompanjemang av vinet. Sammantaget mycket bra men servicemissarna gjorde helheten försämrad.
Hess offers a nice mix of elegance but in a friendly and laid back manner. Very nice place to enjoy great food and wine after skiing all day. Options of tasting menu or a la carte. Excellent wines as well as a bar cart from which to select a digestif or two after dinner. Had the good timing to be there for a menu with beet root soup, shaved truffles on pasta, Barolo, and some grappa...outstanding!
Sono stato per la cena di Natale aziendale ed è stato ottimo.Ambiente molto accogliente come anche il gentile personale.Cibo fantastico, ottima qualità dei prodotti ed un ottima scelta di vini.Piacevolissimo
Ich bin jetzt noch total begeistert von diesem Restaurant. Freundlicher Empfang auch ohne Reservierung. Unaufdringlicher aber interessierter Service. Nachdem an unserem Tisch einmal das Wort VEGETARISCH fiel, war sofort die Restaurantfachfrau am Tisch. Nach einer kurzen Besprechung war das auch geklärt. Drei Personen / Drei Essen / Zwei mit Vorspeise und alle mit Dessert. Sehr gute Wahl. Ein super Koch. Tolle Weinkarte. So geht Essen in Engelberg. Nicht nur die Gäste ausnehmen wollen mit schlechter Qualität und hohen Preisen. Wir kommen wieder denn es war ein Erlebnis. DANKE
Nettes Lokal mit moderner Einrichtung in nicht optimaler Lage gegenüber Bahnhof. Kleine,aber interessante Karte,gute Weinauswahl. Ambitionierte,gute Qualität der Speisen, nettes Service. Preisniveau gehoben wie üblich in der Schweiz. Preis- Leistung -Relation stimmt aber absolut.
We just love the food in this place. The ingredients are always the best of the best. The assemblage is straight forward and honest. The wine selection is always a treat. This is a must do while visiting Engelberg.

I have 3 favourite restaurants in the world....now I have a 4th!!!!We were welcomed (without a reservation) like old friends - the service was super and the food was totally delicious.We wanted to go back tomorrow night but they are closed on a Monday.Fine dining in a little village - what a nice surprise.Thank you HESS - you have done a great job on the decor, service and the scrumptous food.
