Our last day in Switzerland, traveling towards the airport, we took a scenic route and were so lucky to find this establishment for lunch. Despite our lack of German, the staff were wonderful and we had the best meal of our two week adventure. The rehpfeffer was outstanding and we thank the folks at Hirschen for this experience!
I picked this restaurant just because it was annexed to the hotel. In fact it was so good that I dined there twice, all along my stay. It is a friendly environment, sober, unpretentious, all focused on the food and the wine. Wines from the area are not my first pick yet always interesting to try. Food is really interesting, being very local in its character and personalized. On a completely different page, I would add that the price was absolutely reasonable for a restaurant of such level in Switzerland.
Super meals both vegetarian and normal. Not many choices but the personal helps to select and will make suggestions. Wines are usually exceptional. Local juice and local beer available. The home-made oils are a must.
I was traveling alone through Switzerland, so, having found this place on internet I decided to stop there to sleep at the hotel (a dream for wine lovers!! and try the restaurant. Starting by the location I can only say it’s wonderful, before dinner I was offered to take an aperitif with a little walk in the adjacent garden of the restaurant, a marvel. Regarding the dinner I opted for the vegetarian menu, I found the dishes very interesting, the strong point is certainly the raw material that I must say really excellent, there is an important wine list with a nice choice by the glass, I enjoyed creating pairings with the dishes proposed, trying to focus on local wines, this also satisfied me. Last but not least was the service, the staff was very kind, timely and thoughtful, the Onwer welcomed me in a wonderful way making me feel at home, we had a nice chat, I felt welcome, therefore I will return for sure!!
was für ein großartiger Ort, um die Taufe unseres kleinen Mädchens zu feiern. aufgrund der perfekten Wetterbedingungen wurden wir auf der Terrasse platziert. die Kinder hatten die Möglichkeit, durch die schönen Gärten zu gehen und jeder genossen das schöne Essen gepaart mit dem ausgezeichneten Service.
Es war hier für einige Business-Seminare zu bleiben und genossen den sehr schönen Garten und das leckere Essen.
As soon as I walked in the door of the Hirschen, I was so impressed with the beautiful dining rooms. After a tour of the restaurant, including its incredible wine cellar and gardens, we sat down to eat outside under canopies, as did most of the guests that evening. I ordered the four-course tomato and broccoli dinner (a vegetarian option), and every course was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The service was also excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
A delightful experience for both lunch and dinner services in this restauanrt attached to the hotel of the same name. Truely execeptional quality of dishes, with a good choice on the menu and, for all you wine lovers, a very good wine list !
