we had a coffee in the restaurant after a walk, we sat outside but went inside to order and the restaurant looks very nice and the menu appealing, with budget friendly option. decor cozy still, elegant and waiter were very friendly.
six of us took the cable car to magglingen and went twenty minutes to the restaurant at the end of the world ok, it is not their local pub, but it is not exactly in the middle of nowhere. the service was friendly and efficient and the kitchen was local specialties with modern interpretations. it is always a pleasure to begin with an amuse-bouche and the courgette suppe that we received amused our mouth. everyone had something else, even the vegetarian among us had a choice. the evening was worth the price. remember that they are in the Swiss and the prices are just as hefty as they can get.
went with a group of 20 or so people, so it was a pre-fixed menu. good service. eating was very good, and the steak was cooked exactly right. it was reasonable. they need a car to get there. many cars. parking is available.
I love this place, good eating and beautiful ambiente, the personal is very friendly and they remember very well when they visit the next time, it makes them feel important. I highly recommend the restaurant end of the world.
Typical little unassuming Swiss cottage with an innovative chef and great food. We had the menu of the day and started with a similarly unassuming salad that turned out to be an evolving delight of flavors and variety as we dug deeper. The main course...was a delightful Ligurian pasta (trofie) with meat and cheese topping and we finished with a tasty dessert assortment and then coffee (see Picts). Had a nice Swiss white wine to accompany the meal. The two servers were very congenial and seemed to take justified great pride in the restaurant. I could stand to eat here everyday!
Nicely located, very friendly staff, cosy, modern interior in wood and stone. Well assorted menu and wine list. Menu of the day was delicious and the mini trilogy desert was a perfect ending. Will go again!
The restaurant End Der Welt/Fin du Monde is one of the best every day restaurant in the region. Excellent variety of choices, appetizer, entrée, main course and desserts are just all great. Location, choice, food quality and service are excellent, nothing less. With my best...recommendations!
very cheap prices for Swiss standards. excellent selection of local food and drinks (high quality local weine, even a local whisky.) good service. far away from everywhere, but that can also be a good one.
